The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV series consists of compact motor starter protectors designed to safeguard motors and electrical loads from short circuits, overloads, and phase failure. Combining thermal overload and magnetic short-circuit protection in one unit, each device trips rapidly in fault conditions and follows a Class 10 overload characteristic. The 3RV MSPs can also function as manual motor controllers or disconnect switches. Available in sizes S00 to S3, they cover rated currents from 0.11 A to 100 A for motors up to 45 kW at 400 V AC. Screw and spring-type terminal options provide secure, vibration-resistant wiring. As part of the SIRIUS modular system, they integrate easily with 3RT contactors and infeed systems to create compact load feeders with minimal wiring. The series holds worldwide approvals, including IEC, UL, CSA, and ATEX, and supports accessories such as auxiliary switches, shunt releases, and undervoltage releases for flexible control schemes. Suitable for motor protection, plant protection, and use as main or emergency-stop switches.
