BW SERIES AREA SENSOR 12-24VDC NPN OUTPUT 20 OPTICAL

The Autonics BWP20-20 is a slim, plastic-bodied through-beam area sensor designed to detect objects across a defined area using 20 infrared light beams. It features a compact 13mm housing made from durable PC/ABS plastic and provides a sensing distance of 0.1 to 5 meters with a sensing height of 380mm. Each optical axis is spaced 20mm apart, ensuring accurate detection across the monitored area. The sensor operates on a 12–24VDC supply and offers an NPN open collector output, with selectable Light ON or Dark ON operation modes. Response time is up to 6ms (or 7ms with frequency B), enabling fast and reliable detection. High-luminance LED indicators on both emitter and receiver facilitate easy alignment and monitoring. The BWP20-20 also includes functions to prevent mutual interference and a job indicator. With an IP40 protection rating, it provides durable performance for industrial automation and material handling applications.
