The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1 contactor series is designed for high-power industrial motor control, covering ratings from 55 kW to 250 kW at 400 V in frame sizes S6 to S12. These contactors support high operational currents, with some models handling up to 400 A in AC-1 applications. As part of the SIRIUS modular system, they can be easily combined with overload relays, circuit breakers, and other components to build complete load feeders. Most 3RT1 models include removable operating mechanisms and laterally mounted auxiliary contacts, commonly in 2 NO + 2 NC configurations. They accommodate both AC and DC control voltages, with versions offering wide-range inputs suitable for PLC control. Robust main terminals support cable lugs or busbars, while auxiliary circuits provide screw or spring terminals. The series offers long mechanical life, rated for millions of operations, and includes failsafe versions for safety applications up to SILCL 3 or PL e.
