The sealant is water-tight, minimizing moisture intrusion, and offers re-enterable and repairable properties, making it both durable and versatile. Tested in accordance with ASTM E814 (UL 1479) and CAN/ULC-S114 standards, it features a high-solids formula that limits shrinkage and remains pliable to accommodate typical pipe movement. The product also aids in minimizing noise transfer, providing a comprehensive firestop solution.The 3M™ Acrylic Sealant is an ablative sealant designed for high-performance applications in various environments. Packaged in a 17-liter drum, it features an acrylic composition and provides excellent fire resistance with an STC rating of up to 56 in a 56 rated wall. It operates effectively within a temperature range of -28°C to 82°C. With a movement capability of 19%, this sealant accommodates structural shifts and expansion. It has a Smoke Developed Index of 5 and functions as a smoke seal, though it is not water activated or water tight. This sealant is ideal for applications requiring reliable fire protection and movement accommodation in walls and partitions.
