Long DescriptionThe Beckhoff EL2889 Digital Output Terminal transmits 24V DC binary control signals from the automation system to actuators at the process level with full electrical isolation. Featuring 16 output channels with individual LED indicators, it provides clear monitoring of signal status. The EL2889 supports ground switching and accommodates various load types, including ohmic, inductive, and lamp loads, with a maximum output current of 0.5A per channel. Each output is overload and short-circuit protected and includes reverse polarity protection to ensure long-term reliability. Designed for space efficiency, the terminal uses direct plug-in technology for tool-free wiring of solid conductors and enables direct connection of multi-channel actuators using 1-wire technology. With its compact 12mm housing, the EL2889 offers high channel density, reducing cabinet space requirements while maintaining dependable operation.
