Long DescriptionBrass Locknuts are the recommended items used in securing brass cable glands, unions, adaptors, reducers, and stopper plugs to a gland plate or into equipment. Zinc Plated Mild Steel locknuts are a cost effective alternative to brass locknuts and should only be used in dry, low humidity conditions. Aluminium locknuts are recommended when installing CMP Aluminium Cable Glands to prevent the electrolytic action of galvanic corrosion which can occur when dissimilar metals are coupled together Note: Alternative materials are also available. Please refer to Table "E" of the Ordering References page detailed below. e.g. 20LN4 for M20 Stainless Steel Locknut, 050NPTLN4 for 1/2" NPT Stainless Steel Locknut.Improved design high quality cast heads, featuring fully hardened and precision ground datum faces to resist wear. Protractor head and square head both incorporate spirit levels, allowing compound reading when setting jigs etc.Make quick and accurate measurements with Vermont Gage pin gages. Measure hole sizes. Calculate distances between holes. Gage slot widths. Check locations. Use for Go/No-Go gaging. Size in micrometers and snap gages. These economical gages give you added wear life, unlike, closer tolerance gages available on the market today. Black Guard™ black oxide treatment typically penetrates .000040" - .000060" deep, which will visually reveal wear patterns allowing the inspector to calibrate or replace gage pins more effectively. Black Guard™ treatment will help prevent rust and corrosion, which will extend the useful life of the gage.
