Long Description	The exothermic welding process is a method of making electrical connections of copper to copper or copper to steel in which no outside source of heat or power is required. In this process, granular metals (granular copper oxide and aluminium) are placed from a container into a graphite crucible and ignited. This process is a cost effective method of completing a high quality electrical connection and is also simple to follow.	Unarmoured cable is used primarily for control systems. Unarmoured cable is also less expensive to produce, primarily because the exterior level, which could be made of something like Kevlar, is not going to be used on the cables that are used.
