Long DescriptionThe TP200 probe body houses the strain sensing structure and electronic processing circuitry. When the stylus contacts the workpiece, in a normal gauging move, the force applied to the stylus tip is transferred, through the stylus module and the coupling at the front of the probe body to the silicon strain sensors.Straight styli are designed to inspect simple features where direct, unobstructed contact with a measured surface is possible. A stainless steel stem offers excellent rigidity and is ideal for applications where weight is not critical. Ruby is regarded as the industry standard for stylus tips. It is one of the hardest materials available and suitable for most applications. Due to adhesive pickup, ruby tips are not recommended for scanning aluminium parts.Cylinder styli can be used in situations where correct contact with a ball stylus cannot be guaranteed, such as applications with sheet metal, pressed components or thin work pieces. A stainless steel stem offers excellent rigidity and is ideal for applications where weight is not critical.
