The oscillator produces an alternating electromagnetic field that exits the detection area of the sensor. Any metallic object penetrating this field is then detected. This general purpose flat form inductive proximity sensor is made of plastic and it is flush mountable. Its nominal sensing distance is 2.5mm, it supports 1 normally open PNP discrete output and it has a switching frequency of 2000Hz. It works in a temperature range of -25°C and +70°C, it is dustproof and waterproof (IP67). It is made of plastic. It measures 22mm (length) x 8mm (width) x 8mm (depth). It can operate in very cold (-25°C) and hot environments (+70°C).
