Long DescriptionThe XS range is an offer of inductive proximity sensors for the detection, without physical contact, of metal objects. The advantages of inductive detection are numerous, no physical contact with the object to be detected. Thus avoiding wear and enabling detection of fragile or freshly painted objects. High operating rates. Fast response. Excellent resistance to industrial environments (robust products, fully encapsulated in resin). This product is a cylindrical, non flush mountable sensor. Diameter 18mm, threaded M18 x 1. It features a nickel plated brass case and a 2m long cable. It has a sensing distance of 5mm. Four-wire, DC supply, 12V to 24V, solid state PNP + NPN, NO or NC programmable output.The XS range is an offer of inductive proximity sensors for the detection of metal objects up to 60mm without physical contact. The oscillator produces an alternating electromagnetic field that exits the detection area of the sensor. Any metallic object penetrating this field is then detected. This general purpose threaded cylindrical (M18) inductive proximity sensor is made of metal and it is flush mountable. Its nominal sensing distance is 5mm, it supports 1 normally open PNP discrete output and it has a switching frequency of 2000Hz. It works in a temperature range of -25°C and +70°C, it is dustproof, waterproof (IP67), and withstands high pressure and steam cleaning (IP69K). It is made of metal. It measures 50mm (length) x 18mm (diameter). IP65, IP68 and IP69K protection makes this product ready for the harshest environments. It is suitable for railway, mobile equipment, lifts and escalators, hoisting, material handling, machine tools, packaging, food and beverage industries, and robotics. This sensor is certified UL and CSA. It is CCC, CSA, UL certified. The main advantage of the inductive detection offered by the sensors of the XS range is that there is no physical contact with the object to be detected.
